What to order

Comfort food with a red rock view

Owner and executive chef Jeff Storcz runs a menu of salads, burgers, ribs, fish and prime steaks, with a central bar and what the restaurant calls the best deck in town.

Why go

The view without the fine-dining price

The Hudson opened in 2015 at the top of the Hillside Sedona plaza on SR-179. Owner and chef Jeff Storcz and his wife, Patti Niemann, describe it as sophisticated comfort food in a relaxed setting.

Its deck faces the red rocks, and sunset views come up often in reviews. Ratings are strong everywhere: 4.6 on Google and Tripadvisor and 4.5 on Yelp, across more than 11,000 reviews.

For RVers it is one of the closest good dinners to the creekside parks. Rancho Sedona and Oak Creek Mobilodge are each about 3 minutes away by car.

  • A full bar with a happy-hour crowd

For RVers

Getting to The Hudson in the tow vehicle

The practical stuff we wished someone had told us before we pulled in.

Park at Hillside, then climb

The Hudson sits above the Hillside Sedona shopping plaza and shares its lot. The driveway climbs to the restaurant level, so drive up in the tow vehicle, not the motorhome.

Reservations vs. walk-ins

Book the main dining room on OpenTable. The deck, lounge and bar are first-come, first-served, so arrive early if you want an outdoor table at sunset.

Know the add-ons

The Hudson adds a 3% surcharge to all credit card payments and a 23% gratuity for parties of six or more.

Combine it with Tlaquepaque

Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village is just up SR-179. Its oversized-vehicle lot is for village visitors only, so don’t leave the rig there while you eat.
