The JJ’s story

A Harvey comeback on Colorado Street

Gary Billy and his wife, Jennifer Jane “JJ” Billy, opened JJ’s Little Bay Café in Rockport in 2003. Hurricane Harvey tore off the roof in 2017, about two weeks after they had replaced it, and the couple also lost their home and their RV park, KZTV reported.

They reopened in August 2018 as JJ’s Cafe on Colorado Street next to Walmart, on the café’s 15th anniversary. A fake fish tank inside nods to the big tank the original café lost in the storm.
