Why go

Redding’s top-ranked breakfast, in a new home

Karline Niver opened Deja Vu in the mid-1990s in the historic Lorenz Hotel. In early 2024 she moved it to a standalone building on Shasta Street with its own parking lot and a patio, according to Enjoy Magazine.

It is #1 of 280 Redding restaurants on Tripadvisor (4.4 from 358 reviews) and 4.5 on Google from 1,252 reviews. Reviewers praise the big portions and the Benedicts; weekend waits are the main complaint.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the patio, and the menu even has a “Pawtio” section with a $4 pup cup.
