Why go
A 1977 Irish pub in Pensacola’s old firehouse
McGuire’s opened in 1977 as a small neighborhood pub and moved in 1982 into Pensacola’s original 1927 Old Firehouse on Gregory Street, where it has grown into a 615-seat restaurant with its own brewery.
It has 4.7 stars from more than 10,000 Google reviews and is a 2026 Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice. Reviewers talk most about the large portions, the steaks, the Irish wake cocktail and the 18-cent bean soup; Yelp is a little cooler at 4.4.
Expect a wait at busy times. There are no reservations, but you can join the waitlist online before you drive over from Tanglewood Gardens, about 13 minutes away.
