The Gettin’ Basted story

From the competition circuit to the 76 Strip

Gettin’ Basted grew out of a barbecue competition team that started cooking in 2012. It ran a food truck before opening its first Branson restaurant in 2017, and today it also has a location in Nixa.

The team has won multiple KCBS Team of the Year titles and the 2021 Jack Daniel’s World Championship. It cooks hot and fast over direct heat, the method it credits for those wins, and it serves breakfast as well as lunch and dinner.

Why it made our list

  • 4.6 on Google from 7,300+ reviews
  • Award-winning competition barbecue
