What campers say

The resort report card

We don’t recycle other sites’ reviews, and there aren’t enough Campendium reviews to report on. Google, RV LIFE and Campspot reviewers rate it fairly well, praising the location, the staff and the bathrooms; one long-time guest wrote in 2023 that the park slipped after a change of management.

Before you book

Plan your stay

Everything that decides whether Aruba fits your rig, your dates and your budget, in one place.

Our take: a laid-back canal-front resort for RVers who bring a boat or love to fish: private docks, a ramp, a fish cleaning station and a short run out to Lake Okeechobee, plus a pool, a cafe and a busy clubhouse. Current rates aren’t easy to find online and reviews are mixed on how the park has changed, so call before you book.

Aruba RV Resort is a canal-front RV resort in Lakeport, a small community on the northwest shore of Lake Okeechobee in Glades County. It suits boaters, anglers and snowbirds who want a dock out back and a social clubhouse more than a polished resort.

Best for

  • Boaters: private docks on waterfront lots, a concrete ramp and canal access to Lake Okeechobee.
  • Anglers: a fish cleaning station on site and the lake a short boat ride away.
  • Snowbirds: daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual stays, with clubhouse bingo, cards and karaoke.
  • Big rigs: the resort says it takes RVs and trailers of any size, with 50-amp full hookups.

Consider this

  • Current site rates aren’t published in text; call (863) 532-5688 for 2026 prices.
  • Airboats won’t fit under the bridge on the way out to the lake.
  • One 2023 review says the park declined after a change of management; ask what activities are running.
  • A third-party listing calls it a 55+ community, but the resort doesn’t say so; confirm before you book.
