What RVers say
The resort report card
We don’t recycle other sites’ reviews, but the scores are strong: 9.4 out of 10 from 56 RV LIFE reviews and 4.2 stars on Google. Written reviews are thin; the few we could read praise the amenities, the helpful staff and the friendly full-time residents.

Our take: a full-on activity resort: paver lots around five lakes, a heated pool and poolside bar, 10 lighted pickleball courts and a busy social calendar, a few minutes from the lake and town. It’s built around lot owners, so nightly rates aren’t published, and you’ll need to check the booking page or call for an open lot.

Silver Palms RV Resort is a gated RV community in Okeechobee where RVers buy lots and owners can rent them out through the resort. Managed by Sunland RV Resorts, it suits RVers who want resort amenities and a social calendar more than a quiet campground.
Best for
- Active snowbirds: 10 lighted pickleball courts, tennis, a fitness center, water aerobics and live entertainment, with a planned activities director.
- Big rigs: lots for RVs up to 46 ft, including pull-thru lots, all with 30/50 amp, water and sewer.
- RVers thinking of buying: a 3-night preview stay for $129 lets you try the resort before you shop for a lot.
- Anglers and nature lovers: catch-and-release fishing on five lakes, and a 17-acre wildlife preserve behind some lots.
Consider this
- Nightly rates aren’t published; check the booking page or call. RV LIFE’s last reported rate was $125 a night.
- It’s an owners’ community with full-time residents and an HOA, so it feels more like a neighborhood than a campground.
- The lake is a quarter mile away, not out your window, and you can’t swim in the on-site lakes.
- Rules are firm: the gate stays closed, no pet pens, no washing rigs with city water and an 11 mph speed limit.
