What you’ll see

Slots, bingo and a night out on the reservation

The Seminole Tribe of Florida opened Brighton Bay in February 2025, replacing the smaller casino that had stood on the Brighton Reservation since 1980.

The casino floor

The new building has nearly 38,000 square feet of gaming, with about 640 slot machines and 18 table games, plus the high-stakes bingo that has long drawn players from around the lake. Rewards run through Unity by Hard Rock, the same program used at the Seminole Hard Rock casinos in Hollywood and Tampa.

RV tip: Brighton RV Resort is 2 minutes down Reservation Road, so you can leave the rig there and keep the drive home after dinner short.

Why go

A Seminole casino in cattle country

The Brighton Reservation covers ranchland northwest of Lake Okeechobee, and Seminole families have raised cattle here for generations; the reservation’s Brighton Field Day festival and rodeo has run for more than 80 years. The tribe opened a casino here in 1980 and replaced it with Brighton Bay in 2025, part of the same Seminole Gaming family as the Hard Rock casinos.

For RVers it’s an evening out without the city: dinner, a few hours of slots or bingo and a short drive back to camp. Brighton RV Resort is next door, and the Okeechobee KOA is about half an hour east.

Winter is the busy season, when snowbirds fill the RV parks around the lake, and February brings the Brighton Field Day festival to the reservation. Check the bingo schedule before you go, since the biggest sessions draw a crowd.

For RVers

Planning a casino night from camp

The practical stuff we wished someone had told us before we pulled in.

Stay next door

Brighton RV Resort sits on Reservation Road about 2 minutes from the casino, and Aruba RV Resort is about 8 minutes away near the lake. The casino doesn’t publish RV parking rules, so bring the tow vehicle or call ahead before arriving with a big rig.

Join the rewards program

Sign up for Unity by Hard Rock at the casino to earn points on play and dining, and ask about current promotions when you join.

Pets

The hotel welcomes dogs, but apart from service animals, plan on leaving pets out of the casino. If you’re staying at an RV park, leave the dog at camp with the air conditioning running.

Driving at night

The reservation roads are rural and dark, with cattle country on both sides, so drive slowly after dark and watch for wildlife. If you plan to drink, book a room at the hotel or stay next door at Brighton RV Resort.
