What guests say
The park report card
We don’t recycle other sites’ reviews, but the published scores tell a clear story: RVers love walking straight onto the beach, the clean restrooms and the value, and the gripes are about packed-in sites, road noise from FM 3005, weak Wi-Fi and no pool or resort extras.

As reported by Campendium users. Listings disagree on length: Visit Galveston says rigs of 30 to 45 ft, Campendium 55 ft. Campendium’s May 2026 rate shows as $7,425, which we read as a typo for $74.25. Confirm rates and policies with the park before you go.

Before you book
Plan your stay
Everything that decides whether Dellanera fits your rig, your dates and your budget, in one place.
Our take: the only park on the island where you walk from your site straight onto the Gulf beach, with level concrete full hookups, clean 24-hour restrooms and city-park prices. There’s no pool, no gate and not much privacy, and you’ll hear FM 3005, but for beach time it’s hard to beat.

Dellanera has been a city-owned beach park since the 1980s. The Galveston Park Board ran it for more than a decade, and the City of Galveston’s Parks & Recreation department took over in late 2025. It suits RVers who want the beach at the end of the boardwalk more than resort amenities.
Best for
- Beach lovers: the only RV park on the island with no road between your site and the sand.
- Value seekers: city-park prices, reported from about $55 to $74 a night.
- Accessibility: free beach wheelchairs at the clubhouse, first come, first served.
- Long stays: RVers report winter stays of up to 90 days.
Consider this
- Sites are close together, with little privacy.
- There’s no pool, no gate and few resort extras.
- FM 3005 traffic can be heard from the front sites.
- Beach-nourishment work has run in front of the park in past years; ask about work during your dates.

Five things that change your booking
Ask these on the phone before you reserve.
- Which sites face the Gulf? Ocean-front sites are back-ins, and some lagoon-side sites have partial ocean views.
- Will my rig fit? Listings range from 45 to 55 ft; give your full length when you book.
- Is any beach work planned? The city has nourished the west-end beaches in recent years; ask whether crews will be working during your stay.
- Do you still honor Good Sam? The 10% discount dates from the Park Board years.
- Can I bring a second vehicle? Each site gets one RV and one vehicle; extra vehicles need a permit.
