What guests say
The park report card
We don’t recycle other sites’ reviews, and this park is too new for many. Early reviews praise the clean private bathrooms, wide paved roads, the ponds and a helpful manager; the gripes are about the walk to the beach, road and construction noise and some cramped sites.

Plan your stay
Everything that decides whether Galveston Island RV Park fits your rig, your dates and your budget, in one place.
Our take: a new, good-value park close to town, with shaded full-hookup sites, private bathroom suites, fishing ponds, free kayaks and pickleball. It has no pool, the beach is across a busy road, and with only a few reviews so far it’s still proving itself, but the early signs are good.

Galveston Island RV Park opened around late 2024 or early 2025 on the west end; Good Sam calls it Galveston’s newest RV park. It’s privately owned, with a park director on site, and it suits budget-minded RVers and winter stayers who want to be close to town.
Best for
- Value seekers: nightly rates from $48 and a $765 winter month, with no resort fees.
- Anglers and paddlers: two stocked ponds and free kayaks.
- Dog owners: a fenced off-leash dog park and a mile-long walking loop.
- Older rigs: the park has no RV age limit, just road-ready, licensed and insured.
Consider this
- There’s no pool.
- The beach is across FM 3005, and some reviewers say the walk is longer than advertised.
- Front sites hear the road and a nearby construction site.
- With only a handful of reviews so far, it has a short track record.
