What guests say
The park report card
We don’t recycle other sites’ reviews, but the published scores tell a clear story: RVers love the waterfront sites, the fishing and crabbing, the gate and the on-site managers, and the gripes are about tight sites, slow Wi-Fi and a waterfront restaurant that has been closed for years.

Plan your stay
Everything that decides whether this resort fits your rig, your dates and your budget, in one place.
Our take: a waterfront, gated park in the middle of the island, with bayou-side sites, boat slips and a ramp, fishing and crabbing off the shore and Moody Gardens five minutes away. Sites can be tight, the Wi-Fi is basic, the restaurant has been closed for years and nothing is published online, so call before you book.

The park was Bayou Shores RV Resort until about 2019; it’s locally owned, with on-site managers, and RVers say the owners have kept improving it since, with concrete pads, a new dock and new laundry machines. It suits anglers, boaters and anyone who wants the water and a central location.
Best for
- Boaters: 28 slips for rent, a ramp and deep-water access to the bay.
- Anglers: fishing and crabbing right off the property.
- Cruisers: a one-night cruise package with a ride to the terminal.
- Safety-minded RVers: a fully gated park with managers on site.
Consider this
- Some sites are tight, and the turn off 61st Street is awkward for long rigs.
- Wi-Fi is basic, for browsing and email only.
- The three-tier waterfront restaurant has been closed for renovations for years.
- No rates, cancellation rules or storm policy are published online.
