Why go

From a farmers market trailer to Main Street

Yuma natives Travis and Ashley Krizay started Cafecito as a coffee trailer at the local farmers market, moved into a 500-square-foot building on Madison Avenue, and in 2022 opened today’s space on Main Street: a little over 10,000 square feet with a garden stage and a full bar.

It is the highest-rated stop on our Yuma list, 4.8 on both Google and Yelp, and Stacker’s look at Yelp ratings ranked it Yuma’s #1 restaurant in 2025. Reviewers love the friendly staff (118 Google reviews), the garden seating and the cold brew; expect lines on weekend mornings.

The first Friday of each month raises money for the owners’ nonprofit, the Atticus Kindness Project. For RVers it’s an easy breakfast about 10 minutes from Suni Sands and 13 from the parks off I-8 Exit 7.

For RVers

Taking the rig to Cafecito

The practical stuff we wished someone had told us before we pulled in.

Bring the tow vehicle downtown

Cafecito is on Main Street with street parking, and the public lots off Madison Avenue, 3rd Street and Gila Street are a short walk away. There’s nowhere downtown for a big rig, so unhook at camp.

Bring the dog

Cafecito says it’s pet friendly and has a large outdoor garden, a good fit for a morning with the dog before the heat builds.

Beat the weekend line

Reviewers mention weekend lines. Order ahead by phone, or come early on a weekday; it opens at 6 am Monday to Friday.

Make it a downtown morning

Cafecito is a short walk from the Yuma Art Center and the visitor center on Main Street, and a short drive from the Territorial Prison.
