What guests say

The resort report card

We don’t recycle other sites’ reviews, but the published scores are worth reading together: guests praise the big sites, the pool, the activities and the staff, while dated facilities, a worn golf course and the drive across town pull some scores down.

Plan your stay

Everything that decides whether Cocopah Bend fits your rig, your dates and your budget, in one place.

Our take: a big, sociable winter resort with room for big rigs, a full 18-hole course and an activity calendar few parks can match. Expect an older, well-kept property, a mostly 55+ crowd and a 20-minute drive into town.

Cocopah Bend is a large, long-running winter community owned by the Cocopah Indian Tribe, with an 18-hole public golf course at its center. Most guests come for the season, and the calendar fills with dances, cards, crafts and golf. The trade-offs are an older property and a 20-minute drive to town.

Best for

  • Snowbirds who want a full calendar, from line dancing and bingo to pottery and woodworking.
  • Golfers: an 18-hole public course, a pro shop and putting greens are inside the gates.
  • Big rigs: sites are 35 ft wide and 55 ft long, and RVers say there’s room to park beside the patio.
  • Dog owners: a 2½-acre grassy pet park and a pet wash, with no pet fee.

Consider this

  • RVers describe it as a 55+ community and call parts of the course and gym dated; confirm the age rules when you call.
  • It’s about 20 minutes to downtown, and RVers mention I-8 traffic, freight trains and farm-field smells.
  • Pets stay in a separate section, with no more than two per site.
  • You book by request form or phone, and a stay is confirmed only once the resort contacts you.

Every site is the same generous 35 × 55 ft with a concrete patio, so the choice is mostly how long you stay and whether you’re on the golf course or in the pet section. Rates took effect Nov 1, 2025.

Good to know before you pull in

Five things that change your booking

Ask these on the phone before you reserve.

  • Golf course or pet section? Pets stay in their own section, and RVers say golf-course sites come with a screen for stray balls.
  • What are the age rules? RVers describe Cocopah Bend as a 55+ resort; confirm who in your group can stay.
  • What if my plans change? Rent starts on your reserved date, and one RVer reported getting a future credit rather than a refund. Ask before you pay a deposit.
  • Will my rig fit? Sites are 35 × 55 ft, but RVers say some interior roads are narrow, so give the office your length.
  • Coming in summer? Highs often top 105°, the restaurant keeps shorter hours off-season, and the office is closed Saturdays.
