The Rio Grande story
A family restaurant with its own brewery
Rio Grande Grill & Tap Room is run by the Weber family. Rich and Sue Weber started Sierra Blanca Brewing Company in New Mexico in 1996, and in 2001 chef Keith Weber, Rich’s brother, moved to Ruidoso to open a restaurant with them.
The restaurant has changed over the years, but the idea comes from the brothers’ memories of long East Coast Sunday dinners: good food, a cold beer and time to linger. You can buy Sierra Blanca six-packs and growlers to take back to camp.
Why it made our list
