The park report card
We don’t recycle other sites’ reviews, but the published scores tell a clear story: guests like the quiet, tree-shaded setting, the wildlife and the friendly owners, while RVers warn about the steep, narrow access road, sloped sites and older facilities.

Ask for a front site. The entry street is steep and narrow with tight turns inside; RVers with big rigs or tow vehicles recommend the sites near the front.
About 6,600 ft. July highs average about 81°, winter nights drop well below freezing, and sloped sites call for leveling blocks.

Before you book
Plan your stay
Everything that decides whether Pine Ridge fits your rig, your dates and your budget, in one place.
Our take: a quiet, old-school park in the pines with friendly owners, full hookups at every site and a location 6 minutes from Midtown. The facilities are dated, sites are sloped and the access road is steep and narrow, so it suits smaller rigs and RVers who value trees and quiet over amenities.

Pine Ridge RV Park (also listed as Pine Ridge RV Campground) is a privately owned park on Ruidoso’s east side that has hosted RVers for decades. Many guests are retirees and longer-term visitors, and the owners live on site.
Best for
- Tree lovers: tall pines, valley views and regular visits from elk and mule deer.
- Town access: Midtown, Walmart and Grindstone Lake are all within about 6 minutes.
- Quiet stays: an older, adult crowd and quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
- Pet owners: no breed restrictions, according to the park.
Consider this
- The access street is steep and narrow, and interior turns are tight for big rigs.
- Sites are sloped, uneven gravel and close together; bring leveling blocks.
- The bathhouse, laundry and hookups are older, though reviewers say they’re clean.
- Expect some US-70 traffic noise, and campfires aren’t allowed.
