What campers say
The resort report card
We don’t recycle other sites’ reviews, but the published scores tell a clear story: Google reviewers rate it highly, and campers praise the friendly staff, clean bathhouses and the pool. The knocks are tight sites, spotty Wi-Fi and cell, and a mixed sense of the neighborhood.

Crooked Hook RV Resort has been a Clewiston campground since the 1960s, when Ed Watson built it on the old Clewiston Syrup Mill land. It’s a simple, sociable RV park for travelers who want full hookups, a pool and a short drive to Lake Okeechobee without resort prices.
Best for
- Budget travelers: about $52 a night reported for full hookups with 30/50 amp power.
- Social campers: a pool, a rec hall, shuffleboard, a tiki hut and, per RVezy, bingo, dances and fishing tournaments.
- Anglers and lake explorers: Clewiston and the Lake Okeechobee dike are a few minutes away.
- Big rigs: pull-thru sites, with rigs up to about 50 ft reported.
Consider this
- Sites are tightly packed, and there are full-time residents and mobile homes in the park.
- Rates aren’t published and there’s no online booking; you’ll need to call or email.
- Wi-Fi and cell signal are mixed, and one reviewer said they didn’t feel safe.
- The park’s website was showing spam when we checked, so rely on the phone for details.
