Before you book

Plan your stay

Everything that decides whether Lake Okeechobee RV Park fits your rig, your dates and your budget, in one place.

Our take: a friendly, good-value park on the Rim Canal: shady back-in sites under old oaks with 50-amp full hookups, a boat ramp and boat storage, from $50 a night. Bathhouses are limited, every site is a back-in and there are no campfires, but for boaters, anglers and long-stay snowbirds it’s an easy pick.

Good to know before you pull in

Five things that change your booking

Ask these on the phone before you reserve.

  • Is my site on the canal? Only the 5 Super Premium Canal sites are named for the canal; ask what each tier means.
  • Will my rig fit? All sites are back-ins and the park doesn’t publish a maximum; ask for your site’s length.
  • Do I need a 30-amp adapter? Sites are 50 amp only, so bring one if your rig is 30 amp.
  • How is electric billed on a long stay? Extended stays pay extra for electricity; ask how it’s charged.
  • When can I check in? The FAQ says 2 to 5 p.m. and Campspot says 3 p.m.; the office is closed Sunday and Monday.
