The Josephine’s story

Fine dining in a 1911 Craftsman bungalow

Chef Tony Cosentino opened Josephine’s in June 2002 and named it for his late mother. He had been executive chef at Forest Highlands and at L’Auberge in Sedona, and his wife Marlene runs the dining room. Arizona PBS calls it the place Flagstaff locals go for a special occasion.

The restaurant fills the J. M. Clark House, a 1911 Craftsman bungalow on the National Register of Historic Places, with two fireplaces lit in winter and a landscaped patio in summer. The menu changes with the seasons, and the wine list has earned Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence.
