The classics, cooked to order

The restaurant points first to the classics: lasagna, veal parmigiana and chicken marsala. Want it spicier or with less butter? Just ask. And if what you want is not on the menu, Angelina’s invites you to ask the server to have “Richie make you something.”

RV tip: happy hour runs all day on Mondays and from 3 to 5:30 pm Tuesday through Sunday, so an early dinner is the best-value way in.

Also worth ordering

  • CioppinoSeafood stew served with pasta; AAA’s inspector recommends it for seafood lovers.
  • Grilled salmon with spaghetti squashOne of the lighter dishes Angelina’s highlights.
  • Chicken marsalaOne of the house classics the restaurant names first.
  • Full barCocktails, beer, American wines and nonalcoholic options to go with dinner.

Why go

A family Italian institution in Havasu

Angelina’s was founded by the late Jerry Grippo and named after his great-aunt from Avellino, Italy. It has been family owned for more than twenty years and is now run by his daughter, Christina Grippo, with head chef Richie Maltese.

Google rates it 4.6 from more than 1,400 reviews, and Tripadvisor ranks it #5 of 151 restaurants in Lake Havasu City. Reviewers mention the fresh bread, generous pasta portions and old-school service, and advise booking ahead on weekends.

For RVers it is one of the closest sit-down dinners to the north-side parks: about 4 minutes from Lake Havasu State Park and Campbell Cove RV Resort.

For RVers

Taking the rig to Angelina’s

The practical stuff we wished someone had told us before we pulled in.

Use the on-site lot

AAA lists on-site parking at 1530 El Camino Dr, off London Bridge Road. No RV or trailer rules are posted, so drive in with the tow vehicle.

Reserve on weekends

Angelina’s asks you to call ahead for reservations at (928) 680-3868, and reviewers say the small dining room fills up on weekends.

Go on a Monday

Happy hour runs all day on Mondays and from 3 to 5:30 pm Tuesday through Sunday.

Leave the dog at camp

We found no pet policy and no confirmed dog-friendly patio, so plan on leaving pets at the RV. Arizona’s heat makes a parked car unsafe for them most of the year.
