Our take: a quiet, spacious winter park with big drive-thru sites and a large clubhouse at modest prices outside January. It’s a seasonal operation, and January monthly rates nearly double.

Arizona Sun is a winter park on the east side of Quartzsite, a few minutes from I-10 Exit 19. Drive-thru sites are 32 ft wide and 60 ft long with 30/50-amp full hookups, and the 4,500-sq-ft clubhouse anchors a social winter season, with laundry, showers and Wi-Fi on site. Reviewers rate it highly for quiet and easy access. The trade-offs are a season that runs only October to April and a big jump in January.
Best for
- Big-rig drivers: drive-thru sites are 32 by 60 ft, and Campendium reviewers rate access 5 out of 5.
- Light sleepers: noise scores a perfect 5 out of 5 on Campendium.
- Weekly visitors: $200 a week outside January is among the lowest in town.
- Social snowbirds: the 4,500-sq-ft clubhouse is the hub of the winter season.
Consider this
- Good Sam lists the season as October 1 to April 1, so don’t count on a summer stay.
- January monthly rent is $585, almost double the regular $325.
- Some listings call it 55+, but the park’s site doesn’t say so; confirm when you call.
- An August 2026 flash flood damaged parts of east Quartzsite; call to confirm the park’s opening date.

Good to know before you pull in
Five things that change your booking
Ask these on the phone before you reserve.
- Is the park open for your dates? Good Sam lists an October-to-April season.
- Are you staying through January? January rates are much higher, so price your whole stay.
- Is there an age rule? Some listings say 55+, so confirm for everyone in your group.
- What do multi-month packages cost? Ask; they can beat month-by-month rent.
- What about pets and deposits? The website doesn’t spell them out, so ask.
