The park report card
We don’t recycle other sites’ reviews, but the published scores tell a clear story: families love the lake access, pool and free-feeling extras, and the usual complaint is tight, sloped RV sites.

There’s no dump station on site. The park now offers a black-tank cleaning service; otherwise plan to dump in town.

Plan your stay
Everything that decides whether CampCDA fits your rig, your dates and your budget, in one place.
Our take: a lakeside family campground with a heated pool, lake access for paddlers and a busy schedule of extras, now under owners who are fixing up the place. RV sites are tight, sloped and mostly 34 ft or less, so it suits vans, trailers and small motorhomes best.

CampCDA, long known as Camp Coeur d’Alene, is a family campground on Wolf Lodge Bay at the north-east end of Lake Coeur d’Alene. It has been under new ownership since May 2025 and opened year-round in March 2026, with cabins, tent sites and about 45 RV sites.
Best for
- Families: a heated pool and hot tub, a new splash pad, a playground and lots of on-site activities.
- Paddlers: put a kayak, canoe or paddleboard in right from camp, or rent one on site.
- Small rigs and vans: the shaded, terraced sites suit trailers, vans and small motorhomes.
- Winter visitors: it’s open all year, close to the bald eagles that gather on Wolf Lodge Bay from late fall into winter.
Consider this
- Most RV sites are 34 ft or less, and nothing over 40 ft fits.
- Reviewers often call the RV sites tight, narrow and sloped, with little privacy.
- There’s no dump station, and there’s some I-90 noise.
- RV water hookups are off in the winter months, and the maximum stay is two weeks.
