The four lakes
The heart of the park is a chain of four lakes connected by streams, ringed with lawns, shade trees and paths. You can fish, sail model boats, watch for ducks, or rent a pedal boat or bike from the Wheel Fun Rentals stand.
RV tip: Wheel Fun Rentals sends out its last bike an hour before sunset and its last boat two hours before sunset, so start early in the shorter fall and winter days.

Why go
An easy, inexpensive green break
Yorba Regional Park opened on December 16, 1976, as Orange County’s official U.S. Bicentennial project. OC Parks describes it as a linear day-use park more than a mile long and 140 acres in size, at the mouth of Santa Ana Canyon on land that was once part of Bernardo Yorba’s rancho.
For RVers it’s an easy add-on to an Anaheim stay. Canyon RV Park sits just up the river in Featherly Regional Park, about 6 minutes away, and the vehicle fee is only $3 on weekdays. It’s a good rest day between theme park visits.
Bring a bike if you have one. The park’s trails join the Santa Ana River Trail, so you can ride along the river in either direction, or keep it simple with a picnic and a lap around the lakes.

For RVers
Taking the rig to Yorba
The practical stuff we wished someone had told us before we pulled in.
Expect car-sized lots
Yorba has a series of lettered parking lots inside the gate. OC Parks doesn’t publish RV size limits, so call (714) 973-6615 before bringing a big rig, or drive over in your tow vehicle.
Pay once at the kiosk
You pay the vehicle fee as you enter: $3 Monday through Friday, $5 on weekends, and more on some holidays and event days. OC Parks annual passes also cover the fee.
Bring the dog
Dogs are allowed on leashes, which makes Yorba one of the easier places in Anaheim to spend a day with a pet.
Day use only
There’s no camping at Yorba. Canyon RV Park, in Featherly Regional Park just upriver, is the closest RV park we’ve reviewed.
