What you’ll see

Restaurants, charters and a zipline on Destin Harbor

HarborWalk Village is the busy west end of Destin Harbor, beside the Emerald Grande resort and the Marler Bridge. It’s free to walk, and it’s where many of Destin’s fishing charters, dolphin cruises and pirate cruises leave from.

The harbor docks

The marina side is lined with charter and cruise boats: inshore and deep-sea fishing, dolphin cruises and the pirate ship. The village says it has more than a dozen restaurants and more than a dozen shops spread across 15 acres overlooking the harbor.

RV tip: book charters and cruises ahead in busy months, and plan to arrive early enough to park and walk to the dock without rushing.

  • Dolphin and pirate cruisesDolphin tours come up again and again in Google reviews. Cruises leave from the HarborWalk docks.

Why go

Destin’s harbor hub, a short drive from camp

HarborWalk Village sits at 10 Harbor Boulevard, at the foot of the Marler Bridge, next to the Emerald Grande. It’s the busiest stretch of Destin Harbor, and for many visitors it’s where a fishing charter, dolphin cruise or sunset dinner starts.

For RVers it’s about 10 minutes from Destin West and 12 from Henderson Beach. Parking is the planning point: the village uses paid pay-by-phone parking, and the city’s nearby Harbor District lots are $15 a day for passenger vehicles only.

Hurricane Isaias came ashore near Destin on October 9. Visit Destin-FWB’s listing, updated October 14, says some service disruptions remain, so call ahead to confirm charters and restaurants are running.

For RVers

Planning a HarborWalk visit from your RV

The practical stuff we wished someone had told us before we pulled in.

Bring the tow vehicle

Neither the village nor its parking guide covers RVs or trailers, and the city’s pay-to-park lots are for passenger vehicles only. Leave the rig at camp.

Pay by phone

Park in any public space, scan the QR code, enter your plate and pay. Stays of 30 minutes or less don’t need to pay at all.

Bring the dog

The village describes its 15 acres as pet-friendly. Keep dogs leashed and check with each restaurant before sitting down.

Snowbirds: price the pass

The City of Destin sells a Harbor District non-resident annual parking pass for $205 at City Hall or the Community Center.
