Pizza, pasta and a sweet ending

La vita dolce means “the sweet life,” and the menu leans into Italian comfort food: specialty pizzas, pastas, seafood and desserts, with a lounge and a daily happy hour.

The Maui Waui pizza

Guidebooks and reviewers keep naming the Maui Waui, a capicola-and-pineapple pie. On the 2026 Dolce To-Go menu it is $14 for a 10-inch and $18 for a 16-inch; dine-in prices may differ.

RV tip: happy hour runs 3 to 6 pm daily, so an early dinner is the best-value way in and gets you back to camp before dark.

Also worth ordering

  • PastasFettuccine Alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs and penne pesto run $15 to $17 on the 2026 to-go menu.
  • Chicken parmigiana$18 to go. Reviewers also rave about the lobster ravioli and shrimp scampi.
  • Dolce SupremeThe house specialty pizza: $17 for a 10-inch and $21 for a 16-inch to go.
  • Tiramisu$9.50 on the to-go menu, for the “dolce” part of the night.

Why go

Old-school service, family-run since 2010

Robert Day and his family opened La Vita Dolce on February 12, 2010. Robert and his daughter Monique still run it, along with Dolce To-Go next door, under the motto “Love all, serve all,” and they take reservations the old-school way, by phone.

Google rates it 4.6 from more than 1,500 reviews, and Tripadvisor ranks it #11 of 151 in town. Reviewers praise attentive staff and homemade sauces; a few find it loud or dim when it is busy.

It sits on Swanson Avenue, about half a mile from London Bridge and about 6 minutes from the Island RV parks. The visitor bureau notes gluten-free pizza and vegan-friendly options.

For RVers

Taking the rig to La Vita Dolce

The practical stuff we wished someone had told us before we pulled in.

Park in the shared lot

La Vita Dolce shares a building at 231 Swanson Ave with other businesses, and Tripadvisor lists parking. No RV or trailer rules are posted, so bring the tow vehicle.

Call for a table

Reservations are by phone at (928) 680-5885 during business hours; there is no online booking.

Dinner only

The bistro opens at 3 pm daily. For pizza back at camp, Dolce To-Go next door does takeout and delivery; it is closed on Mondays.

Leave the dog at camp

We found no pet policy and no confirmed dog-friendly patio, so plan on leaving pets at the RV. Arizona’s heat makes a parked car unsafe for them most of the year.
