Scoops calls itself “Uptown’s Sweet Spot.” Every ice cream, crepe, coffee and waffle cone is made in house, and the shop mixes antique decor with a soda-fountain feel.

Every flavor is handcrafted in small batches, with real vanilla, fresh nuts and chopped fruit, and the lineup changes, so the case is the menu. Scoops notes that it is not a nut-free shop and lists no-sugar-added options.

RV tip: it is a short drive from the Island parks and easy to fit in after dinner on McCulloch Boulevard, especially on Tuesday to Saturday, when it is open until 10 pm.
