The Mountain Quail story

A snowbird favorite with a new home

For years Mountain Quail Cafe sat on Moon Mountain Avenue at the north end of town, next to an RV park. In early 2026 its owners took over the former Times 3 Family Restaurant building on West Main Street, much closer to I-10.

Its Yelp page carries more than 500 reviews from the old location, and Google lists nearly 2,000. Some recent reviews say the food has been uneven since the move, so check the latest before you go.

Why it made our list

  • Breakfast served all day
  • Friday fish fry
  • A few minutes from I-10 Exit 17
  • Popular with snowbirds and RVers
