Our take: a big, friendly winter community with low rates and more hobbies than most parks, a short drive from Quartzsite. It’s a seasonal operation out in the desert, so you’ll drive for groceries and the shows.

Wagon West is a 214-site snowbird park on US-60 east of Quartzsite, with a Salome mailing address. Life here centers on the park itself: a 9-hole desert golf course, a rock room for rockhounds, a wood shop, a clubhouse with a pool table, a fire pit and covered wagons that guests can rent for visiting friends. Rates are among the lowest on this list. The trade-offs are the drive to town, a winter-only office and some highway noise.
Best for
- Golfers: a 9-hole desert course is right in the park.
- Rockhounds and hobbyists: the rock room and wood shop give winter residents room to work.
- Budget snowbirds: a full season runs $1,600 to $1,826 plus electric.
- Visiting family: covered wagons can be rented for guests.
Consider this
- It’s about 23 minutes to Quartzsite, so you’ll drive for shows and groceries.
- RVs must be 15 years old or newer.
- The office is closed April 15 to October 15.
- Campendium reviewers rate noise 3.0 out of 5, likely from US-60 traffic.

Good to know before you pull in
Five things that change your booking
Ask these on the phone before you reserve.
- Is your RV 15 years old or newer? That’s the park’s rule, so ask if yours is older.
- Will your rig fit? RVers on Campendium report rigs only up to about 20 ft so far, so give the office your length.
- Is there an age rule? Some listings call it 55+, so confirm for everyone in your group.
- Are you coming outside winter? The office is closed April 15 to October 15.
- What will electric add? Monthly and seasonal stays pay $0.1875/kWh.
