The resort report card

We don’t recycle other sites’ reviews, but the published scores are worth reading together: the facilities, staff and bistro win praise, while I-40 and train noise and the back-in-only sites draw most of the complaints.

Before you book

Plan your stay

Everything that decides whether Village Camp fits your rig, your dates and your budget, in one place.

Our take: a polished, resort-style basecamp west of Flagstaff with amenities most local parks can’t match: a clubhouse bistro and bar, a pool, a hot tub and big back-in sites. Expect I-40 and train noise and higher prices than Flagstaff’s older parks.

Open

Village Camp Flagstaff opened in 2023 as a resort-style cabin and RV park in Bellemont, 10 miles west of town. Big back-in sites, a clubhouse bistro and bar, and a pool and hot tub are the draw; the trade-offs are highway and train noise and higher prices than Flagstaff’s older parks.

Best for

  • Big-rig owners: back-in sites for rigs up to 85 ft on wide roads, with 50-amp full hookups.
  • Travelers who want resort amenities: a bistro and bar, pool, hot tub, pickleball and weekend live music.
  • Mixed groups: Adventure Cabins let non-RVers come along.
  • Grand Canyon road-trippers: Williams and AZ-64 are straight down I-40.

Consider this

  • The resort lists only back-in RV sites, so be ready to back in.
  • Trains run near the park and I-40 is within earshot of some sites.
  • RVs must be RVIA-certified and 10 years old or newer; older rigs need manager approval.
  • No tent camping, and USPS can’t deliver here; use UPS or FedEx.

Good to know before you pull in

Five things that change your booking

Ask these on the phone before you reserve.

  • Is my rig 10 years old or newer? Older RVs need photos and manager approval before you arrive.
  • Which tier fits? Super Premium adds an outdoor kitchen and fireplace, Premium has a fire pit, and Standard has neither.
  • Do I want a specific site? The resort can move you unless you pay the $50 lock fee.
  • How close is my site to the tracks? Trains run near the park, so light sleepers should ask and grab earplugs at check-in.
  • Pack for 6,900 ft. Nights are cold even in summer, monsoon storms roll in July–September, and winter brings snow.

Frequently asked questions

A few details before you hit the road.

Yes. The resort is open all year, and the hot tub runs year-round, though the pool is seasonal. At about 6,900 ft, expect freezing nights and snow, so bring a heated hose and plenty of propane.

Yes. The resort says its back-in sites fit rigs up to 85 ft and its roads are wide enough for every size of rig. All listed RV sites are back-ins, so give the office your length when you book.

It can be. A rail line runs near the park, and I-40 is within earshot of some sites. The resort says it has worked to keep trains from blowing their horns, and earplugs are available at the front desk.

Yes. The resort accepts RVIA-certified RVs that are 10 years old or newer, including motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, truck campers, Class B and C motorhomes, Sprinter vans and overland vehicles. Older RVs need photos sent in for manager approval.

No. Tent camping isn’t allowed; the resort suggests its Adventure Cabins instead.

Yes, but not by USPS. The resort isn’t on a U.S. Postal Service route, so have packages sent by UPS or FedEx.

With at least 7 days’ notice, you get a full refund minus a $25 processing fee plus tax. Cabin reservations cancelled inside 7 days lose their deposit, and holiday weekend bookings are final.
