The Donut Hole story

A Destin breakfast fixture since 1978

The Donut Hole opened in Destin in 1978, and this US-98 shop is still the original. It later added locations in Santa Rosa Beach in 1989 and Inlet Beach in 2014.

The formula hasn’t changed much: donuts made in house every day, a pastry case full of pies, and a big diner menu of eggs, pancakes, sandwiches and burgers. On summer mornings the line often runs out the door.
